The most interesting assignments for me where the reading assignments. The main topic of the books would be completely different from another, still, I could see parallels between them all. I am very glad to have read the books I picked. One of them was the biography of the Wright brothers, which showed me how failure brings you closer to your goal, even though it might not look like it. Then I read  Mindset: The new psychology to success,  this book showed me how having the right mindset (a growth mindset), will get one so much further in life. The last book I read was Inbound Marketing, which is important for any entrepreneur to know because it will grow your business exponentially.  The lowest points, the hardest ones, where to go out and talk to strangers and interview them. These interviews took a lot of willpower to do, but I learned a lot from them. The most fun moment I usually had in class, listening to Professor Pryor is like an informative comedy show, I lov...

Opportunity:  More and more college students are having issues concentrating and their focus span is decreasing drastically. This is also an issue in high schools and even maybe in middle schools. My focus group for my product will be targeting college students to start with because I can relate better to them. College students are getting their work done just fine, but they are not time-efficient by opening their phones ever 15-25 minutes. By doing this and constantly checking their phones they lose focus and it takes at least 2-3 minutes to fully regain focus again.  We, humans are made to seek dopamine (the chemical in our brains that make us feel happy), which is released when checking social media and is easy to access fast (instant gratification). After a couple of minutes of studying our brain will want something more fun, something that gives more dopamine than the boring textbook. So, we almost subconsciously pick up our phones, which for me is a sig...

Inbound Marketing What was the general theme or argument of the book?  In general, the book  Inbound Marketing , by Brian Halligan, talks about how to generate leads on the internet. The main topics are SEO, Blogging, Social Media and other tools for building your brand.      How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? In class, we have discussed how to start a business successfully but did not dive very deep into marketing strategies and online presence. This book gives you the basics for any business, to create leads online.   If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?   The exercise would involve creating a blog and social media channels for your business. Setting up all accounts and just starting to create content on them. In addition, a bonus to this exercise would be getting in touch with people in the same indus...

1)     Identify the exit strategy you plan to make. a.     The video course I will create will be available for purchase online for about 3 years after launch. It might vary slightly, depending on demand. I will take down the course, shut down the website, and cut all advertisements. The exit will not be hard since I will not have any employees that are dependent on me and there is no production because it is a virtual product. 2)     Why have you selected this particular exit strategy? a.     This type of business is usually a short-term gain and not a long-lasting form of income. Video courses are usually available for 2-3 years and then they become obsolete. It is not possible to sell nor license.   3)     How do you think your exit strategy has influenced the other decisions you've made in your concept? a.     My exit strategy does influence my business strategy....

1) This semester I went to the career fair to find an internship for this upcoming summer. I applied for multiple companies and one (not naming) invited me to have me for an interview. I arrived just on time; I was sweating from riding my bike there. As I arrived the interviewer called my name. I was still sweaty, and I was very confident I would get the job because of my naturalness and authenticity. All which I thought would help me, backfired and made me look like a fool in that interview. After all, I did not get into the next round of interviews, nor get the internship.  2) I learned a lot from this experience. First, show up on time and do not take the bike on a hot Florida day. I still believe authenticity is a big plus, but do not be overly cocky, without having the credibility to. The most important thing I learned was not the interview itself, but much more than from going out and putting yourself into uncomfortable situations like this, you grow the most. Those who ...

Existing Market.  Step 1: The next step for action would be to plan out the structure of the video series. Step 2: After talking to people in my target niche, the response was clear. They claimed to create a prototype of video series first, to get fast feedback before going down a dead end. Step 3: After getting more feedback I have a clear plan. I noticed must put a lot of work into structuring out the video series, before focusing on anything else. This step is the foundation for the whole product. The following step would be to actually create the video content and get feedback fast. In addition, I would have to start editing the video content to make it watchable. New Market. Step 1: Now my target audience (B2C) is college students. For this step, a totally different target audience would be (B2B), selling my course to large companies, that have the feeling their employees are insufficient, due to phone addictions. This segment would purchase multiple licenses for...
