1)
Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used
(or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
Giving
yourself enough time to finish the assignment the day before the deadline (no
student wants to work on his assignment under pressure in the morning after
waking up). Also, the course will be easier if you figure out an interesting
product/service similar to your hobbies/studies. I personally enjoy going to
the lectures because you will be more engaged and if you take in the most
important topics the cupcakes should be manageable. Just do not miss any
deadlines and also never forget to do the deceleration (only by forgetting to
press one extra button, it could cost you valuable points).
2)
Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when
you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like
you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What
experience or experiences most contributed to this?
At someone
point this semester I felt overwhelmed with all the information and never using
Canvas before did not help either but after a certain time and that first down
phase you will afterward see that it is all manageable, when planning your
time well. I believe I had a tenacious attitude before this course but it is
definitely helping me improve it. My most influential experience was
moving to the US to go to college, this made me grow up faster and more
responsible for my actions. When you feel like you want to give up on something
(as cliché as this sounds), remember why you started. You had a reason why you
joined this class, went to college, or wake up every morning. Keep the end/goal
in mind and realize that the “pain” is temporary.
3)
Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student
about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the
'tenacious mindset’?
·
View challenges as opportunities to grow. Think like this: Every
opportunity is wrapped in a problem, the bigger the problem, the bigger the
opportunity to gain. Have a “growth mindset”.
·
Try to enjoy the work you are doing and find some topics you enjoy
working on. It is all up to you to find a product or service that you enjoy.
·
Take responsibility and try to not deliver medium work, this course
will bring you more joy and overall learning if you put more work into it than
the minimum requirement.

I agree that its important to complete the tasks the day before hand. I have had to complete some assignments the morning before they are due and they were riddled with mistakes. Now i know that i will complete assignments in the morning in the future but i want to strive to cut this habit out. Also, I think that your first tip is phenomenal. If we view these assignments as opportunities it will be a lot easier to motivate ourselves to complete them.
